Peaked Mountain

One of the best hikes in the area - right out our back door!

While less than 2000 ft in elevation, Peaked Mt offers outstanding views of the area.

There are two paths to Peaked Mt.  One can take the shorter, but steeper, Middle Mountain trail (1.8 miles) and then connect with the Peaked Mt Trail, or one can go up the Peaked Mt Trail (2.3 miles).  A favorite route has been to go up via the Middle Mountain Trail and return via the Peaked Mt Trail (4.1 miles round trip).  Trail maps are displayed at the Kiosks.

Hiking time (Average adult) is one hour, 30 minutes each way

1 Hr 30 min hike from the condo.  You can access the trail from the condo

or at the Thompson Road trailhead right down the street

  

Thompson road Kiosk - you reach this within 10 minutes of leaving the condo.  Maps are usually available but if not, there is a a map posted or click on picture for map
     
 
2 ways to get up Peaked.  At the trail fork, you can go right up the Middle Mt Trail (shorter but steeper) or go left up the Peaked Mt Trail.   Middle Mt trail - At the Peaked Mt Connector trail
